The Montreal duo behind JOB: The Hip Hop Musical and the current production Hip-Hop 4 Dummeez, MCs Sable and Batalion make a seamless transition from stage to record delivering like a funnier and more dexterous Kid 'n' Play (minus the dated haircuts), as Bushman (Sable) and VowelMovement's (Batalion) congenial dynamic is energized with a barrage of creative wordplay constantly volleying between the pair. Midget sex raps, brotherly backslapping and assorted mischief (like reformatting Sesame Street as a ghetto) may read like the hijinks of class clowns but they show off plenty of skills to quash the notion they're a mere novelty act. They may be jokers but they ain't no joke.
