T'Cha Dunlevy

Montreal rap duo Sable and Batalion made an international splash with their 2002 Fringe Festival hit JOB: The Hip-Hop Musical. They become Bushman and VowelMovement, respectively, for their CD debut. It's a satirical, lyrical odyssey, spoofing rhyme and rap styles with rambling audacity. "Sex, drugs and hip-hop" are the central themes, but references spread far and wide -- from Bush to baba ghanouj on the booty call Feel That Hump. The humour is liberating, allowing the boys to wax on and off with impunity. "We be the MC amigos/ lacking MC egos," they state. Fresh, creative fun.
